Vocational Education & Training

Vocational Education and Training (VET) Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses provide students with the opportunity to gain practical industry skills and nationally recognised qualifications while completing their Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). Information about available courses is provided to family/caregivers and students during the Year 11 and 12 subject selection process.

These programs are designed to prepare students for future pathways including employment, apprenticeships, traineeships, TAFE, or further study. Students develop workplace knowledge, industry-specific skills, and employability skills that support a successful transition from school to the workforce or further training.

VET courses are competency-based and focus on practical learning experiences aligned with industry standards. They also provide valuable insight into career pathways and may contribute credit towards further nationally recognised qualifications.
