Kiara College is a proud partner of The Resilience Project. We are committed to teaching our students positive mental health strategies to help them to become happier and more resilient. The focus of The Resilience Project is on three key pillars proven to cultivate positive emotion: Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness or GEM.
The Resilience Project’s School Partnership Program inspires action, measures our students’ wellbeing and teaches practical strategies to support our whole school community. As part of The teaching and learning program each student receives a personal wellbeing journal with culturally inclusive learning activities and experiences and participates in the Resilient Youth Survey. There are lesson plans mapped against the curriculum standards for every year level as well as a suite of presentations and videos to provide a home/school connection.
