Work Readiness Program Year 10
Work Readiness Program is a valuable program that provides students with real-world experience that cannot be replicated in the classroom through Workplace Learning (WPL). It helps students develop practical industry skills, build confidence, and understand workplace expectations such as punctuality, communication, teamwork, and professional behaviour.
Through WPL, students can explore potential career pathways and make informed decisions about their future study, training, or employment options. The program also strengthens employability by providing meaningful workplace experience that can be used in resumes and job interviews, supporting a smoother transition from school to work or further education.
Students are supported throughout the process, including preparation for placements, assistance with applications and resumes, guidance on workplace expectations, coordination with employers, and ongoing monitoring during placements. Support is also provided with required documentation, safety requirements, and reflection on workplace experiences to help students connect their learning to future career goals.
The Authority Developed Workplace Learning (ADWPL) Program Year 11 & 12
ADWPL is a School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) endorsed program for Year 11–12 students in Western Australia. It enables students to gain industry-specific skills through structured, real-world workplace placements.
Students are required to complete a minimum of 55 hours per unit, documenting their learning through a logbook and skills journal to achieve Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) credits. Hours can be completed through either paid employment or voluntary work.
